I hope this email finds you well. I'm thrilled to welcome you to our very first Biblical Womanhood newsletter! Today, I want to share a story that touched my heart deeply and I believe will inspire you too.
Have you ever felt like your prayers for your children were going unanswered? As mothers, we pour our hearts out to God, sometimes wondering if He hears us. Let me tell you about a woman named Amelia Taylor, whose unwavering faith and fervent prayers changed the course of history.
Picture this: England, in the early 1800s. A young woman named Amelia, raised in poverty, marries James Taylor. Together, they create a loving, God-fearing home. Their firstborn son, Hudson, grows up surrounded by faith, but as a teenager, he starts to stray. (Oh, how many of us can relate to this heart-wrenching situation!)
Now, here's where it gets interesting, dear friend.
Amelia, seeing her son's spiritual crisis, does what we all long to do effectively - she prays. But not just any prayer. She locks herself in a room and pleads with God for hours, refusing to leave until she feels assured of Hudson's salvation.
Can you imagine the intensity of that moment? A mother's heart crying out to God, refusing to give up on her child.
And then, the miracle happens.
Miles away, at that very moment, young Hudson picks up a tract in his father's library. The words "the finished work of Christ" leap off the page, and suddenly, everything clicks. He falls to his knees, committing his life to the Lord.
When Amelia returns home, before Hudson can even share his news, she exclaims, "I know what it is! You have given yourself to God." She had been rejoicing in his salvation for days, confident in God's answer to her prayer.
This, my dear sisters in Christ, is the power of a praying mother.
Hudson Taylor went on to become one of the most influential missionaries in China, founding the China Inland Mission. His work led countless souls to Christ, and it all started with a mother who refused to give up.
So, to you, precious mother, who might be in the trenches right now, praying for a wayward child or facing any struggle - don't give up. Your prayers are powerful. They can change lives, shape destinies, and even impact nations.
Remember Amelia's story. Let it fuel your faith and inspire you to keep praying, keep believing, and keep trusting in our sovereign God.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on this story. How has it encouraged you in your journey of motherhood and faith? Reply to this email and let me know.
Until next time, may God bless you and your family abundantly.
With love and prayers,

I helped raise my baby half brother, 12 years younger than me, and he’s a teenager now. So wayward my heart breaks for him. Every day I cry out to the Lord for Him and plead the blood of Christ over him. This was so encouraging. Thank you♥️
A war-room. Let’s take back our families, our communities and the world. We forget why Jesus came. Reconciliation. To God. We are God’s children, this is not our home, and we are called to pray unceasingly, with authority and the faith that comes with knowing HE CAN. It is His Will, and we have the Powerful Name of Jesus that brings us before Abba, who longs to spend time with us. All praise & glory Yours, Lord!!
